North Eagleville Tract

This tract of approximately 130 acres is predominately occupied by mixed hardwoods and former red-pine plantations. The parcel surrounds Cedar Swamp Brook which runs through a steep-sided deep valley and forms a wetland complex that feeds a pond located along Bone Mill Rd. This tract is a popular recreation site because of its close proximity to Northwood Apartments and the fact that the Mansfield park, Shelter Falls, borders it on the north. A trail starting in Pink Ravine heads north and joins a trail in Shelter Falls Park. Red pine plantations were salvaged on the North Eagleville Tract in the late 1900s and a first-stage shelterwood harvest of hardwoods in the southern portion of the property was conducted around the same time.
